52nd Anniversary of Duol Co., Ltd. CEO Jeong Jae-yeol: "Leadership That Puts People at the Center of the Organization Is Essential"

Global automotive interior materials specialist Dooall Co., Ltd. (CEO Jo Inhoe, Jung Jaeyeol) celebrated its 52nd anniversary on May 15, urging that the day serve as an opportunity to strengthen the weakened bonds among organizational members caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and to reflect on Dooall’s management philosophy centered on people and the field.

In light of the recent reopening, the anniversary event was replaced with an outdoor group activity, the “Hanyangdoseong Trekking.” The trekking event involved Seoul headquarters employees trekking in groups from Baekbeom Kim Gu Square to Namsan Tower and then to Dongdaemun Station. Safety personnel were stationed at various locations to ensure the event proceeded safely. After completing the trek, participants enjoyed lunch followed by a raffle, fostering harmony and expanding communication among employees.

At the 52nd anniversary event, CEO Jung Jaeyeol emphasized the roles and responsibilities of organizational leaders to ensure that as the company’s external growth rapidly progresses, the organizational culture matures alongside it. He particularly urged everyone to revisit Dooall’s core management philosophy of “people-centered management” and to strive to further strengthen the trust relationships built externally with customers and partners, and internally among domestic and overseas workplaces and their members.

In fact, Dooall’s Talent Management Office has recently been handling its busiest schedule yet. Throughout the first half of the year, improvements in HR systems such as the introduction of a horizontal call system and multi-faceted evaluation system, as well as the establishment of an in-house selective welfare system, have brought fresh changes and attempts to invigorate the organizational culture. That is not all. Over the past few years, employee workshops involving both the Seoul headquarters and regional business sites, which had not been held, are now being conducted in four sessions, focusing not only on enhancing work capabilities but also on restoring weakened bonds among employees.

Seong Bonggi, head of Dooall’s Talent Management Office, stated, “Dooall is a company with over 50 years of history, inherently valuing people as its most important asset, and regards communication and harmony among employees as the company’s most important values.” He added, “As corporate growth accelerates, the CEO and management are continuously interested in changes in HR systems at global companies and are actively pushing for their adoption. The CEO even participates directly in separate sessions during ongoing employee workshops to engage in Q&A with employees about company life and welfare, discussing and sharing the direction of the company’s HR policies together.”

Dooall Co., Ltd. is currently an automotive interior materials specialist supplying fabrics, seat covers, and airbags to Hyundai Motor Group. It produces and sells seat covers for vehicles including the GV80, Grandeur, Santa Fe, as well as electric vehicles such as the Ioniq 5 and 6. This year, mass production of seat coverings for new models like the EV9 and the new Santa Fe is planned.
