The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 15th at 9 a.m. that it will hold a 'Current Issues Meeting for the Success of the Gangneung Natural Bio National Industrial Complex' at Gangneung City Hall with Gangwon Province, Gangneung City, and others.
At the meeting, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to actively support the Gangneung National Industrial Complex to quickly establish itself as a key pillar of the Gangwon bio-health industry cluster through the 'Pan-Government Promotion Support Group' launched last March.
Specifically, it plans to announce a package support plan including industrial complex plans desired by companies, one-stop permits and approvals, corporate attraction support, and the creation of a pleasant working environment.
After the meeting, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Gangwon Province, Gangneung City, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), and Gangwon Development Corporation will sign a 'Win-Win Cooperation Agreement for the Successful Promotion of the Gangneung National Industrial Complex' to unite their intentions for rapid preliminary feasibility study promotion and demand-tailored industrial complex development.
Won Hee-ryong, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "The Ministry will support as one team so that the Gangneung National Industrial Complex can become a new vitality for Gangwon Province, which is opening the era of special self-governing provinces this June," adding, "Since President Yoon Seok-yeol emphasized the speed of the national industrial complex, we will make thorough preparations for preliminary feasibility studies with implementers such as LH and Gangwon Development Corporation and cooperate with local governments to attract excellent bio companies."
He continued, "To ensure that the effects of the Gangneung National Industrial Complex spread throughout Gangwon Province, we will strengthen industrial linkages with nearby hub cities such as Wonju and Chuncheon, and actively promote the construction of trunk transportation networks such as the Donghae Line high-speed railway and the Yeongwol-Samcheok highway."
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to actively participate in the 'Gangneung National Industrial Complex Corporate Briefing Session' being prepared in Gangneung City during the first half of the year to increase corporate interest in investing in the national industrial complex.
