Air Busan Resumes Xi'an and Zhangjiajie Routes After 3 Years

Air Busan is resuming its Busan-Xi'an and Busan-Zhangjiajie routes after three years, marking a full-scale recovery of its China routes.


Air Busan announced on the 15th that it will resume the Busan-Xi'an and Busan-Zhangjiajie routes starting from the 24th.


The Busan-Xi'an route will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, departing from Gimhae International Airport at 10:05 PM and arriving at the destination at 12:35 AM the next day. The return flight departs from the local airport at 2:10 AM and arrives at Gimhae International Airport at 6:30 AM.


The Busan-Zhangjiajie route will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays from the 24th until June 2nd, and from June 3rd, it will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.


The outbound flight departs from Gimhae International Airport at 9:30 AM and arrives at the destination at 11:45 AM, while the return flight departs from the local airport at 12:50 PM and arrives at Gimhae International Airport at 4:55 PM.


Aircraft for both routes will be A321 models with 195 and 180 seats.

An Air Busan official stated, “With the easing of immigration and quarantine regulations in the China region, the full-scale recovery of routes is becoming visible. We will continue to expand supply to the China region by adding more regular routes and launching new routes.”


Air Busan plans to increase the Busan-Qingdao route from three times a week to daily flights starting from the 17th, and from June 2nd, the Busan-Yanji route will be increased from three times a week to six times a week. The Incheon-Ningbo route, which has not yet resumed among existing regular routes, is also under continuous negotiation with Chinese authorities for resumption.
