Surge of Interest in Jomin's 39-Second Video... YouTube Subscribers Skyrocket

Expanding Activities Beyond SNS... Supporters Welcome

The YouTube channel of Cho Min, daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, has attracted great attention, reaching 70,000 subscribers just three days after its launch.

On the 12th, Cho opened her official YouTube channel (Jjomin minchobae), expanding her activities beyond social networking services (SNS). As of 7:30 a.m. on the 15th, the channel had 70,000 subscribers, showing a steep upward trend. At this rate, she is expected to become a recipient of the 'Silver Button' from YouTube once her subscriber count surpasses 100,000.

The 39-second video titled "My First Step into the YouTube World... Ta-da... Taking the Step, Jjomin's Video Diary (Teaser)" released with the channel launch has surpassed 270,000 views. The video received over 34,000 likes and sparked more than 12,000 comments.

Among supporters, there have been enthusiastic responses welcoming Cho’s YouTube activities, such as "Cheering for the beautiful Cho Min," "Blessings to Cho Min. Fighting until the day of victory," and "You look confident, perhaps resembling your father and mother, which is nice to see."

In the video, Cho explained her reason for starting YouTube activities, saying, "If I leave something like a video diary, it might be nice to look back on later," and "I want to create content that makes me genuinely happy in small ways." She also revealed her fondness for pork belly, chicken feet, and pork skin, sharing clips of her visiting popular restaurants and driving.

Previously, Cho began public activities by revealing her face on SNS and has now become an influencer with 136,000 Instagram followers. She regularly shares posts on Instagram showing visits to popular restaurants with friends, camping, and exercising.

As she actively participates in external activities, including attending her father, former Minister Cho’s book concerts, rumors of her running in the general election have surfaced. However, Cho drew a line, stating, "Reports that I might run in next year’s general election are rapidly increasing. I have never considered entering politics. I feel fatigued by these repeated articles."

Meanwhile, Pusan National University canceled Cho’s admission to the medical school in April last year, judging that the awards and internship activities she listed during admission were false. Cho filed a lawsuit against Pusan National University to cancel the admission revocation, but the court ruled last month that the cancellation was justified.
