12 License Revocations, 9 License Suspensions

The Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 14th that it apprehended 21 individuals during a one-day intensive crackdown on drunk driving during the spring outing season on the 13th.
The provincial police conducted the crackdown at 30 locations from midnight to midnight, including the Dongchangwon and Seojinju interchanges on the highway, Munsan rest area, local festival sites, and major tourist spots within the province.
The operation, carried out jointly by the provincial undercover team and Sacheon Police Station, involved 58 traffic police officers, 41 local police officers, and 52 patrol cars.
As a result of the crackdown, around 8:10 PM in front of Sacheon Catholic Church in Sacheon-eup, Sacheon City, 21 cases were detected, including a driver in his 50s at the license cancellation level. Among them, 12 received license cancellations and 9 received license suspensions.
A representative of the provincial police agency stated, “We plan to conduct regular weekend drunk driving crackdowns and simultaneously enforce drunk driving checks during special crackdowns in school zones in urban areas.”
