The Dong-Eui University fencing team won two gold medals and one bronze medal at the 41st Korea University Federation President's National Men's and Women's University Fencing Championships, sweeping the women's sabre team and individual events.
In the women's sabre team final, Dong-Eui University players Jang Ji-won, Kim Na-ae, Park Da-eun, and Kim Yoon-seo defeated Korea National Sport University 45-33 to claim the championship. Notably, Jang Ji-won also won the women's individual final by narrowly defeating Lee Joo-eun of Korea National Sport University 15-14, becoming a two-time champion of the tournament.
In the men's sabre team event, Dong-Eui University placed third after losing 38-45 to Korea National Sport University in the semifinals.
Jang Ji-won, a sophomore majoring in Leisure Sports at Dong-Eui University, said, "I am not satisfied with just winning the university championship; I will continue to train harder to become a national representative for our country."
