Choi Sang-dae, Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance, emphasized on the 12th that "there is a need to expand government investment to revitalize the artificial intelligence industry utilizing data."

On this day, Vice Minister Choi attended a special lecture by private experts titled "The Future of ChatGPT and Economic Policy Implications" held at the Government Complex Sejong and stated this. Vice Minister Choi said, "We plan to intensively nurture talents needed by the market through establishing a private-led talent development system and expanding successful projects," adding, "We will also promote the introduction of a government-exclusive AI system with guaranteed security to link private-sector large-scale AI foundations to administrative tasks."

The lecture was organized to enhance the understanding of public officials about new technologies and new market fields using advanced technology. It was originally planned as a brown bag seminar held during lunch, but was changed to a special lecture format as 150 Ministry of Strategy and Finance employees gathered.

The lecture covered topics including the current status of generative AI technology, precautions when using it, industrial application methods, and its future impact.
