Over 2,000 Items Collected Through Employee Donation Campaigns
Directly Sold at Areumdawoon Store Anguk Branch
Glad Hotel & Resort announced on the 12th that it held a special exhibition of employee-donated items called 'Beautiful Day' in collaboration with the non-profit public interest organization 'Areumdawoon Gage' on the 10th.
The special exhibition took place at Areumdawoon Gage Anguk branch. Lee Insik, General Manager of Glad Hotel & Resort, and Lim Hyeongja, Deputy General Manager of Glad Mapo, along with other employees attended. At the exhibition, clothing, books, small home appliances, and daily necessities donated through the employee donation campaign were sold at affordable prices. Glad Hotel employees directly handled the sales.
Glad Hotel donated the proceeds from the sales that day along with an additional 1,298 corporate inventory items. The proceeds will be used for the Beautiful Sharing Bundle support project, which provides daily necessities worth approximately 100,000 KRW to low-income elderly households and single-person households vulnerable to the climate crisis.
In addition, last month, Glad Hotel donated 139 discarded furniture items from the main building furniture replacement at Maison Glad Jeju to three Areumdawoon Gage branches in Jeju, participating in resource circulation for environmental protection. After signing a social contribution business agreement with Areumdawoon Gage, Glad Hotel installed recycling donation boxes at all its branches (Maison Glad Jeju, Glad Yeouido, Glad Mapo, Glad Gangnam COEX Center) and is conducting the 'Donate Earth, Glad Earth' sharing donation campaign targeting visitors.
Lee Insik, General Manager, who attended the event, said, "We are pleased that Glad Hotel can participate in this meaningful donation campaign with Areumdawoon Gage, thinking about our neighbors and the environment," and added, "Glad Hotel plans to continue social contribution activities for the local community and environmental sustainability."
Meanwhile, Glad Hotel is participating in the development of the local community in Jeju, where Maison Glad Jeju is located, by donating funds to the Jeju Community Chest of Korea, holding art fairs with the non-profit organization Art Jeju for the development of Jeju’s culture and arts, and producing recycled products through Jeju eco-friendly startup companies using discarded linens from Maison Glad Jeju.
