At around 00:24 on the 12th, two 25-ton trailers collided while driving 2.2 km in the direction of Changwon on the Namhae 2nd Expressway branch in Sammun-dong, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, the driver in his 50s of the vehicle ahead sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The front parts of the two trailers and 100㎡ of the soundproof wall were destroyed, resulting in property damage estimated by the fire station at approximately 150 million KRW.
Due to the aftermath of the accident, the road was closed for about 50 minutes, but the fire that broke out in the two vehicles was extinguished by the dispatched firefighters around 00:47.
A total of 39 personnel and 13 pieces of equipment, including firefighting vehicles and ambulances, were mobilized at the scene.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
