Launch of 'Hana Financial Youth IT Academy' in Indonesia

Hana Financial Group is providing scholarships and various educational programs to nurture IT talent in Indonesia.

On the 11th (local time), Hana Financial Group announced that it held the launch ceremony of the 'Hana Financial Youth IT Academy' for nurturing global IT talent at the St. Regis Hotel in Indonesia.

Accordingly, Hana Financial will offer IT-related major students at Indonesia National University and Bandung Institute of Technology ▲scholarships worth 10 billion rupiah (approximately 900 million KRW) over the next 10 years ▲internships at Bank Hana Indonesia and NEXT TI ▲IT training and site visits at Hana Financial TI ▲and employment opportunities at local subsidiaries.

About 50 people attended the launch ceremony, including Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo, Financial Supervisory Service Governor Lee Bok-hyun, Indonesia National University Dean Badrul Munir, Bandung Institute of Technology Dean Kairunisa, and 30 student representatives from both universities.

Governor Lee said in his congratulatory speech, "Hana Financial Group's Youth IT Academy is a great program that satisfies both digital and ESG (environment, social, and governance) aspects, and I support its future growth and development."

Chairman Ham said, "Indonesia is a very important region for the group in terms of scale of entry, diversity of industries entered, and strategic importance, so this program will also be a meaningful program for the development of IT in Indonesia. We will discover excellent IT talent to lead digital finance and continue to spare no support for nurturing talent."
