‘Ulsan Automobile Day’ Ceremony... Autonomous Vehicle Exhibition and Future Car Seminar

Ulsan City Awards Commendations to 13 Contributors in the Automotive Industry

On the 12th at 3 PM, Ulsan City will hold the '17th Ulsan Automobile Day Ceremony' at the Ulsan Technopark Automotive Parts Technology Research Institute, attended by Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom and about 150 automobile industry stakeholders.


The event will include a commemorative ceremony with awards for meritorious contributors, an autonomous vehicle exhibition, and a future automobile seminar.


At the awards ceremony, 13 individuals including businesspeople and workers who contributed to Ulsan's automobile industry will receive the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award (4 people) and the Ulsan Mayor's Award (9 people).


During the seminar, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Hyundai Motor Company will present on the 'Future Automobile Industry Policy Direction' and 'Establishment Plan for the Future Ecosystem of the Domestic Automobile Industry,' respectively.


An official from Ulsan City stated, "The paradigm of the core automobile industry is shifting from internal combustion engines to eco-friendly vehicles such as hydrogen and electric cars, as well as autonomous vehicles," adding, "We plan to do our best to prepare new growth engines to respond to this paradigm shift."


'Ulsan Automobile Day' was established in May 12, 1999, to commemorate Korea's cumulative automobile exports surpassing 10 million units, and since 2007, the ceremony has been held annually.
