Jang Ye-chan "Kim Nam-guk Pretends to Mourn Itaewon Disaster While Trading Cryptocurrency"

"Resignation of Opposition Leadership... Lee Jae-myung Must Also Take Political Responsibility"

Amid reports that Kim Nam-guk, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is embroiled in allegations of cryptocurrency transactions worth billions, traded coins even during a standing committee meeting, Jang Ye-chan, the Youth Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, criticized him as being "addicted to coins."

On the 11th, Jang, through his social media (SNS), said, "The report that Representative Kim traded virtual currency during a National Assembly standing committee meeting is truly shocking. Especially on November 7 last year, the Judiciary Committee was continuing inquiries related to the Itaewon tragedy," adding, "Even amidst that, Representative Kim sold WEMIX coins. Outwardly, he pretended to mourn the Itaewon tragedy, but behind the scenes, he was trading coins."

He questioned, "Where exactly is the end of the Democratic Party's duplicity and hypocrisy?" and said, "It is really frightening now. There is also a record of coin trading during the Judiciary Committee on March 22 this year."

He also demanded political responsibility from Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, and the total resignation of the Democratic Party leadership. He stated, "Representative Kim's coin addiction appears to be at a level that requires treatment," and urged, "I call for the expulsion of Representative Kim from the National Assembly for trading coins during a standing committee meeting, a public apology from the Democratic Party to the people, and the total resignation of Lee Jae-myung's leadership. Lee, who kept such a person as a close aide and participated in coin price manipulation, must also take political responsibility."
