In a statement, they said, "We actively support the enactment of the Nursing Act and urge its immediate promulgation as it has been passed through proper procedures in the National Assembly," adding, "We call for the President's decisive action to promulgate the Nursing Act."
They continued, "The Nursing Act is a universal law existing in over 90 countries worldwide," pointing out, "However, the current Medical Service Act was enacted in 1951 and partially revised in 1962, failing to reflect the demands of advanced medical care and nursing, and lacks clear legal grounds regarding the scope of nurses' duties."
Furthermore, they argued, "The enactment of the Nursing Act will contribute to the promotion of public health by providing professional and high-quality nursing services stably," and emphasized, "The Nursing Act must be promulgated so that nurses can fully perform their roles as medical professionals."
