Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will operate the "Ecology and History Lecture of the Thousand-Year Forest" program at the Sangrim Hall and Sangrim Park area of the Choi Chi-won Historical Park every Saturday from 10 a.m. for two hours, starting from the 20th of this month until July 8th.
Any citizen interested in Choi Chi-won and Sangrim can apply, and the application period is from the 10th to the 15th through online registration.
The number of participants is limited to 20, and if the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, participants will be selected by lottery.
Instructor Choi Jae-gil has conducted research on the natural ecology and plant culture of Hamyang Sangrim for several years and recently published a book about Sangrim titled "Forest of Life, Hamyang Sangrim," donating 50 copies to Hamyang-gun. He is actively engaged in lectures for teachers at the Hamyang Office of Education and local elementary schools in Hamyang.
A county official stated, "We plan to conduct lectures on various topics related to Choi Chi-won and Sangrim every week, and we hope for the active interest and participation of the citizens."
