Overseas Korean Song Oksik Donates Love Fund to Hometown Changwon

Changwon Special City Masanhappo-gu Donates 20 Million Won for Vulnerable Children

On the 11th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced that Song Ok-sik, the standing advisor of the Gyeongsangnam-do Residents' Association in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, donated 20 million won in love funds to help children in need in his hometown (Jinbuk-myeon, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon City).

Overseas Korean Song Oksik Donates Love Fund to Hometown Changwon Song Oksik, a member of the Hyogo Prefecture Gyeongsangnam-do Residents' Association in Japan, donated 20 million won in love funds to Changwon Special City for children in need in his hometown.

Song's grandparents left their hometown 100 years ago in 1925 when they moved to Japan, and this donation was made to commemorate that and to support children in need in their hometown.


Song operates a business in Himeji City, Japan, which is a sister city of Changwon, and visited Changwon to make the donation while participating in the '44th Zainichi Residents' Association Local Tree Planting Event.'


Ha Jong-mok, the first deputy mayor, said, “We deeply appreciate the precious heart and donation thinking of the hometown, and we will use it to help children in need according to the intention.”
