Holding of the 1st Regular Meeting of the Integrity Policy Council
The first regular meeting of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency Integrity Policy Council was held on the 10th in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the main building of the Provincial Police Agency.
According to the Office of the Integrity Audit Personnel of the Provincial Police Agency on the 11th, the meeting was attended by the Provincial Police Agency leadership and council members including Professor Song Gwang-tae.
The council is composed of eight experts from various fields: Professor Song Gwang-tae as chairman, two from academia, two from the legal sector, two from civic organizations, one from a specialized institution, and one from the media.
They work to enhance police integrity by reviewing and advising on anti-corruption and integrity policy initiatives.

At the regular meeting, the members suggested that, given the increased authority of the police due to the adjustment of investigative rights, efforts should be made to ▲ secure fairness and professionalism ▲ strengthen education and publicity to improve integrity ▲ listen to citizens' opinions and reflect them in the formulation of integrity policies.
Han Won-ho, Director of the Public Safety Department, stated, “The level of integrity is directly linked to national prestige,” adding, “We will control systems and culture for transparent and fair law enforcement and strengthen cooperation and communication with the Integrity Policy Council to promote integrity policies that meet citizens’ expectations.”
The Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency plans to continuously implement various measures to improve integrity and spread a culture of integrity.
