Changwon Special City, "Thank You for Being the Teachers to Our Children"

'Teacher's Day' Observed with Thank-You Letters Delivered to Childcare Staff

On the 11th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam expressed respect and gratitude through a letter of appreciation sent to over 5,400 childcare workers at 641 daycare centers in the district in celebration of the 42nd Teachers' Day.


The letter of appreciation acknowledged the childcare workers who have diligently followed quarantine guidelines and devoted their best efforts to each child in the childcare field to prevent the spread of COVID-19 over the past few years, expressing encouragement and gratitude for their hard work on Teachers' Day.

The city delivered the letter of appreciation to teachers, who are the first teachers in a child's life and the only names remembered for the children's past, present, and future, to boost their pride and self-esteem as teachers and to support them in gaining more strength in the childcare field.


A childcare worker currently working at a daycare center said, "Although it is difficult due to the challenges and job stress in the childcare field, receiving such a thank-you letter makes me happy and feel like I am having a meaningful Teachers' Day."


Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, "On the occasion of the 42nd Teachers' Day, I sincerely thank all childcare workers who are silently dedicating themselves in the childcare field," and added, "I will work hard to improve the treatment of childcare workers who are caring for children with passion and love today as well."
