Class101, 239% Increase in Subscribers Six Months After Switching to Subscription Model

Securing 150,000 Paid Subscribers

Online class subscription platform Class101 (CEO Gong Daeseon) announced on the 11th that the number of paid subscribers increased by 239% within six months of the official launch of its subscription service. Class101 had been operating individual class sales since 2018 but switched to a subscription economy model in the second half of last year.


After officially launching the subscription service in November last year, Class101 transformed into a global integrated version covering Korea, the United States, and Japan by December. The number of paid subscribers, which was about 60,000 at launch, increased to approximately 150,000 as of May this year, just six months later.

Monthly transaction volume also increased significantly. The transaction amount from January to April this year has already exceeded 16 billion KRW. The cumulative sales secured since the official launch amount to about 20 billion KRW. Global indicators are also progressing smoothly. Compared to six months ago, paid subscribers increased by 292% in Japan and 255% in the United States. Monthly transaction volume rose by 279% in Japan and 215% in the United States during the same period.
