Born in 1923 in Ongjin, Hwanghae Province, the late Kim met and married Honorary Chairman Heo in 1942. She then co-managed the bakery 'Sangmidang' (the predecessor of Samlip Foods), which Heo founded in 1945.

As a partner and co-founder alongside Honorary Chairman Heo, she was a strong management partner. In the early days of the business, Honorary Chairman Heo, skilled in baking techniques, was in charge of production management, while she was active in management and administration, leaving behind the saying, "Baking remains at the fingertips." After the establishment of Samlip Foods, she actively participated in management as a director and auditor, greatly contributing to laying the foundation and strengthening the company's stability.

In his autobiography, Wisdom for Living the Future, Honorary Chairman Heo recalled, "My wife complemented my weakness of being easily swayed by emotions and sentiments," and added, "She excelled in various management areas such as employee personnel, purchasing, and budget execution."

Chairman Heo Young-in reclaimed Samlip Foods in 2002 during the IMF financial crisis when the company was facing management difficulties. At that time, Chairman Heo expressed his gratitude, stating, "Samlip Foods was my first workplace and a company built on my parents' achievements, so I have always been attached to it."

The bereaved family includes six sons and one daughter: former Samlip Foods chairman Heo Young-seon and SPC Group chairman Heo Young-in, among others. The funeral hall is set up in Room 17 of Samsung Seoul Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral procession will be held at 8 a.m. on the 13th, and the burial site is in Seonsan, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do.
