CU, 'Affordable Delivery' Discount Event... "Only 800 Won"

Issuing Discount Coupons in the App

CU announced on the 11th that it will hold a special discount promotion for budget-friendly parcel delivery from the 15th to the 31st of this month.

CU issues a 1,000 won discount coupon that can be used when sending budget-friendly parcels through its membership application (app), PocketCU. Any CU membership member can use it, and the coupon can be issued once per day during the event period.

By applying this coupon, customers can use the service at up to 55% off the regular price, and small parcels weighing 500g or less can be sent for only 800 won.

According to CU, the share of budget-friendly parcels among total parcel usage increased from 1.8% in 2020, the first year of the service, to 21.3% from January to April this year.

A BGF Retail official said, “As demand for small parcels has increased due to the activation of secondhand trading, the parcel delivery market between convenience store branches has been experiencing rapid growth every year. We will enhance differentiated benefits led by budget-friendly parcels and increase accessibility to parcel services through various channels to improve user convenience.”
