Bulgarian Man Lives in Glass Box for 15 Days
Communication Devices Like Mobile Phones Not Allowed
Program Helping Youth Addicted to Drugs, Alcohol, and SNS

A man in a park in Bulgaria is drawing attention as he lives inside a glass box with a fully visible interior structure. He took on this unique challenge to raise funds for a program that helps and prevents teenagers addicted to drugs, alcohol, and social networking services (SNS).

According to the US running magazine 'Runner's World' on the 9th, ultra marathon runner and charity activist Krase Gueorguieff has been living inside a large glass box installed in the middle of a park in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, since the 30th of last month. He plans to spend 15 days inside this glass box.

Inside the glass box, there is only a bed and a treadmill, and during his time there, he cannot use books, computers, or communication devices such as mobile phones. Also, for 15 days, Gueorguieff cannot leave the glass box and can only talk to people outside through the glass wall for exactly 30 minutes a day.

In the released photos, Gueorguieff, wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, is living inside the narrow glass box, which is visible from the outside. The glass box is not covered by curtains, and passersby stopped to watch or take pictures, fascinated by Gueorguieff.

The reason Gueorguieff undertook this attempt is to raise funds for a project that helps and prevents teenagers addicted to drugs, alcohol, and SNS. It is reported that all the money raised will be donated to charity organizations.

Gueorguieff wanted to express the social isolation and disconnection that teenagers feel when addicted to something through living inside the glass box. He said, "I wanted to show how someone psychologically changes when put in a 'box,'" and added, "I wanted to challenge myself."

Meanwhile, Gueorguieff has completed 30 ultra marathons around the world. An ultra marathon refers to a marathon that covers a distance longer than the full course of a regular marathon, which is 42.195 km. In Korea, the event has been officially held since 2000.
