[Harumanbo Harucheonja] Walk 10,000 Steps for 40P... This Thing That 100,000 People Join Every Month

Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance (CEO Hong Won-hak) launched the ‘Chak!han Saenghwal Series’ last April. This service, available on the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Direct Chak mobile app, records and analyzes customers' daily activities such as driving, walking, and health management to promote healthy and safe lifestyle habits. The number of subscribers to this service surpassed 500,000 in December last year and recently exceeded 1 million. More than 100,000 new users join every month. It is free to use even for non-customers, and users can also earn point rewards. One point (1P) is equivalent to one Korean won.

The ‘Chak!han Saenghwal Series’ consists of ‘Chak!han Drive,’ ‘Chak!han Walking,’ and ‘Chak!han Health Management.’ ‘Chak!han Drive’ accumulates up to 5,000 points per month based on a driving grade calculated from driving information. Users can check their driving habits for each route segment through detailed driving paths, and once connected to the vehicle’s Bluetooth, the service automatically activates every time driving starts. Points based on the driving grade can be earned up to 100 points per trip, 5,000 points per month, and up to 60,000 points annually.

‘Chak!han Walking’ allows users to maintain their health and earn points by walking daily. Simply walking more than 6,000 steps a day can earn up to 1,500 points per month. It provides walking habit analysis reports and lets users understand their movement patterns through maps of visited locations. It also recommends good walking courses nearby by reflecting stride length and walking distance. Points for steps are awarded as 30 points for walking 6,000 steps in a day, an additional 100 points for every 100,000 steps in a month, with a maximum of 1,500 points per month.

‘Chak!han Health Management’ offers up to 500 points per month based on a health grade calculated from a monthly health analysis. Health age and grade are derived from health checkup results, medical history, and step count. For example, the 10-year pancreatic cancer risk is 40.5%, ranking 62nd out of 100 in health grade. Colorectal cancer has a 10-year risk of 25.5%, ranking 75th, and lung cancer has a 10-year risk of 33%, ranking 53rd. Users can check explanations for 18 major diseases, health rankings, and future risk of onset. They can also review health checkup results and manage hospital and pharmacy usage records. Performing a health analysis once a month earns 500 points.
