Samsung Engineering is considering changing its company name. The strategy is to remove the strong "Engineering" image associated with plant companies and transform into a new name that reflects the company's vision, including eco-friendly and energy green solutions.

On the 9th, Samsung Engineering stated, "We are also reviewing a name change as part of envisioning our future vision," adding, "Nothing has been finalized yet."

There are three potential names Samsung Engineering is considering: Samsung Ahead, Samsung Pursitive, and Samsung Inspire. It is known that they are gathering opinions from internal employees.

Samsung Ahead is derived from Samsung Engineering's business execution innovation model, AHEAD. AHEAD is an execution model that innovatively redesigns the project execution method, meaning a proactive approach at every stage from design to engineering and integrated management. Samsung Engineering is realizing improved profitability and minimized risks by drastically shortening project durations through intelligence and automation across all EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) fields.

In Samsung Pursitive, "Pursitive" is a compound word combining "first," meaning initial or beginning, and the adjective suffix "tive," signifying a leading role. Similarly, Samsung Inspire’s "Inspire" means "to evoke inspiration," reflecting the company’s intention to take a pioneering role.

Samsung Engineering started as "Korea Engineering" established in 1970 and has used its current name since 1991. As it sets new business visions this year and shifts focus to energy green solutions, hydrogen, and carbon neutrality, it is expected to actively expand its business under a new name.
