The 2023 Regional Relay Briefing Sessions on Aviation Jobs for young people aspiring to work in the aviation industry will be held on the 12th at the Silla University Future Aviation Convergence Hall and the Biomedical Life Sciences Building 2.
This event, conducted as a regional relay covering the Gyeongsang, Chungcheong, and Jeolla areas, will kick off at Silla University. It is jointly hosted and organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Aviation Job Employment Support Center, Korea Airports Corporation, Incheon International Airport Corporation, Korea Aviation Association, and the Silla University LINC3.0 Project Group.
A total of 15 companies will participate in this event, including six domestic airlines: Korean Air, Jeju Air, T'way Air, Jin Air, Air Busan, and Air Seoul; four companies including Korea Airports Corporation, Incheon International Airport Corporation and its four subsidiaries; three ground staff and maintenance-related companies such as UNIS; and two companies in the hotel and tourism sector such as Inspire.
The event will be held in the form of a small-scale job fair, featuring corporate special lectures and company-specific consultation booths simultaneously. Specifically, it will include ▲ company introductions and HR team briefings ▲ success stories of recent hires in the aviation sector ▲ employment special lectures ▲ Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport aviation policy lectures ▲ and continuous operation of 1:1 employment consultation booths by companies.
Kim Jae-won, Dean of the College of Aviation at Silla University, said, “Since most domestic aviation-related companies are participating in the event, it will be a meaningful opportunity to resolve the imbalance of aviation job information across regions.”
Silla University operates the only aviation-specialized college in the southeastern region, producing pilots, maintenance technicians, flight operations managers, cabin crew, and logistics experts in line with the construction of the Gadeok New Airport.
Based on extensive experience in the aviation field, the university has built a faculty of experts and conducts field-customized curricula through industry-academia cooperation to nurture global aviation professionals.
