Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is operating the 'Eoullim Exercise Class' from May 9 to July 4 as part of the first half of the year community-centered rehabilitation project, in collaboration with disability organizations and welfare facilities for affiliated persons with disabilities.
Cheongsong-gun operates the 'Eoullim Exercise Class' for disability rehabilitation projects this year.
The 'Eoullim Exercise Class' is scheduled to be held every Tuesday for a total of 8 weeks, providing customized health management services for persons with disabilities, including health management education, rehabilitation exercises using small tools, health consultations for chronic disease patients, and in-depth counseling for mental illness patients, targeting the Deaf Association in Jinbo-myeon and the Disabled Protection Workshop in Juwangsan-myeon.
This rehabilitation exercise program is expected to greatly help maintain the physical function and strengthen the physical and emotional support of local persons with disabilities, whose social activities were reduced due to the spread of COVID-19, and to activate social participation.
County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee said, “As the demand for care for persons with disabilities is gradually increasing, we will actively work to discover persons with disabilities in blind spots and strengthen integrated health and medical services and improve health management capabilities.”
