According to the county on the 8th, the Community Health Survey is a nationally approved statistical survey that investigates the health behaviors and medical usage of local residents to assess the health level of the community. It is conducted annually by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency along with 258 public health centers across 17 cities and provinces in accordance with the Regional Health Act.

The survey covers a total of 17 areas and 145 questions, including health behaviors (smoking, drinking, dietary habits, etc.), medical usage, accidents and intoxication, education and economic activities, quality of life, and COVID-19. The collected data will be used to establish necessary health and medical plans for local residents and as health statistical data.

The survey is conducted through a one-on-one questionnaire, where investigators visit selected sample households and directly input the responses into a tablet PC.

Jo Seok-beom, director of the Sunchang-gun Health and Medical Center, stated, “This health survey is an important foundation for understanding the county’s health status and establishing health and medical plans.” He added, “We ask the residents selected as sample households to actively participate in the survey to help create a healthier county.”
