Choi Ho-kwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Attends 'Brazen Yeongdeungpo Children's Festival'
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the ‘Brazen Brazen Brazen (fun fun fun) Yeongdeungpo Children's Festival’ held at Yeongdeungpo Park on the 7th.
The festival was originally scheduled for the 5th in celebration of the 101st Children's Day but was held on this day due to rain.
Choi Hogwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District Office, is taking the 'Children's Day Pledge' together with children.
Starting with a parade at 10 a.m., the festival featured an opening ceremony, talent performances, family recreation, and various other performances and experiences. About 2,500 children and families visited the event site. Play facilities such as air bounces were crowded all day long.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, “Just as flowers bloom on mountains, fields, and streets, all children are treasures that cannot be exchanged for anything regardless of nationality, gender, or disability,” adding, “We will actively support and encourage children to healthily pursue their dreams.”

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, attended the ‘10th Seoul Fairy Tale Festival’ held around the open stage at Children's Grand Park on the 7th in celebration of Children's Day.
The 10th Seoul Fairy Tale Festival was held for the first time in 4 years since 2019 due to COVID-19. The opening ceremony originally scheduled for the 6th was canceled due to rain.
On the 7th, as if welcoming the event, the sunlight shone brightly. Families who came out holding their children’s hands hurried from the morning to watch performances and participate in exhibition and experience programs, filling the festival with bright smiles everywhere.
Narumong, the mascot of the Seoul Fairy Tale Festival, along with the Narumong Exploration Team and air avatars such as butterflies, bees, Santa, and frogs, roamed around the event site giving high-fives to children, taking commemorative photos, and warmly greeting them.
Especially, this festival featured ‘Sound Circus,’ a performance using instruments made from recycled waste, and ‘Earth Environment Children's Special Forces,’ which conveyed the importance of environmentally and hygienically conscious daily habits, capturing the children’s attention under the theme ‘Children of Fairy Tale Land Who Love the Earth.’

Various performances were held at the open stage according to the schedule. The ‘Korea Junior Big Band,’ Korea’s first children’s big band, offered lively music and dance with trumpets and saxophones; ‘My Dad is the Best,’ a musical adaptation of a world-famous picture book; ‘The Ugly Duckling,’ a simultaneous storytelling and ballet performance; the musical ‘Grandma Patjuk and the Tiger’ featuring traditional Korean melodies; and the exciting performances of the ‘Mulpae Boys and Girls Choir’ received enthusiastic responses.
Opposite the Children's Grand Park open stage, a variety of exhibition, experience, and participation program booths were lined up.

Also, adults and children spent a meaningful day with special memories by visiting various spots such as ‘Happy Grandma’s Old Story Travel’ told by grandmothers, ‘Cultural Heritage Excavation and Costume Experience,’ ‘Fairy Tale Face Painting,’ ‘Book and Original Art Exhibition,’ and ‘Gwangjin District SNS Event.’
Additionally, at the entrance of the fairy tale festival, children who collected stamps on their Fairy Tale Land passports after participating in programs received Narumong badges as souvenirs. A photo zone was set up in the middle of the booths where families could take pictures with Narumong, ending a memorable day together.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the ‘2023 Nowon District Children's Day Festival’ held on Nohae-ro in Nowon District, Seoul, on the 7th.
The event provided entertaining attractions such as talent shows by local children, ‘Pinkfong and Tuntun Teacher’s Dance Party,’ b-boying performances by ‘Carrie and Friends’ and ‘Honor Breakers,’ puppet shows, street performances, and magic shows.
