According to the police and local media, at around 3:40 PM on the 6th (local time), a report was received by the police about a shooting at a premium outlet store in Allen, a small suburban city outside Dallas. Police who arrived at the scene reportedly said there were multiple victims, including children.
Immediately after the incident, hundreds of citizens simultaneously evacuated the building, causing confusion. On social media, videos showing people running through the parking lot amid gunshots spread widely, while about 30 patrol cars blocked the entrance to the shopping area, and several ambulances were also dispatched.
Keith Self, a federal congressman representing the area, stated that the shooter is reported to be dead and there are no accomplices. A police official declined to provide specific details about the shooting incident, saying "an investigation is underway."
