'Arts Sponsorship Mediation Experts' are professionals who facilitate communication and exchange between beneficiaries such as artists and arts organizations in need of sponsorship and donors (companies, individuals) to enable sponsorship. Since 2020, the Arts Council Korea has been operating the 'Arts Sponsorship Mediation Expert Training Project.'

As part of the 2023 Arts Sponsorship Mediation Workforce Training Project, the Arts Council recently recruited participating institutions for the 'Visiting Sponsorship Mediator Training Regional Cooperation Workshop,' and the Chungnam Culture Foundation was selected as a participating institution. The planning and operation of the project are handled by Bluebird C, Korea's first sponsorship mediation specialized company.

From the 3rd to the 24th, the Arts Council and Chungnam Culture Foundation are recruiting participants for the arts sponsorship mediation expert training, prioritizing residents or activists in the central region (Chungnam, Chungbuk, Daejeon, Sejong) who wish to engage in regional cultural mediation activities, including cultural planners/activists, practitioners of cultural and arts institutions/organizations, art instructors, and those interested in cultural planning. The recruitment scale is planned for 40 participants for basic training, and among those who complete the basic training, 20 will be selected for an advanced workshop through a separate selection process.

To promote active information sharing and cooperation among central region sponsorship mediators and foster dense exchanges, a participant networking program will also be implemented. Accommodation and meals are provided free of charge during the workshop, and a certificate of completion will be issued to educators with an attendance rate of 80% or higher at each stage. Outstanding graduates will be offered sponsorship project consulting and an interview opportunity for an internship at the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service.

Jang Gye-hwan, Head of the Arts Diffusion Division at the Arts Council, stated, "We plan to actively cooperate with the Chungnam Culture Foundation to raise awareness of regional arts sponsorship mediators and nurture local activists." He added, "We hope this collaborative project will serve as a precedent for discovering and fostering sponsorship mediators and activating sponsorship within the region and will expand to other regions in the future."
