Haenam-gun, Kim Tae-ho, Chairman of the Jaegyeong Alumni Association, Donates 5 Million Won to Hometown Love Fund

Performance Praying for Achieving 1 Billion Won on Haenam County Residents' Day

Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that Kim Tae-ho, president of the Jaegyeong Haenam-gun Hometown Association, donated 5 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Program.


President Kim is originally from Samsung Village, Bukil-myeon. He graduated from Bukil Elementary School and Bukpyeong Middle School, moved to Seoul, graduated from Inha University with a degree in Civil Engineering, and completed graduate studies at Seoul National University’s Graduate School of Construction Policy. He has served as Head of Civil Engineering at Hanjin Heavy Industries (Executive Director), CEO of Sampyo E&C, and currently serves as CEO of Stems Construction Co., Ltd. and president of the Korea Railroad Construction Association.

In particular, at the hometown alumni invitation event held on the 30th of last month to celebrate the 50th Haenam Citizens’ Day, following President Kim’s donation ceremony for the Hometown Love Donation Fund, a performance praying for the achievement of 1 billion won in Haenam-gun’s Hometown Love Donation Fund was held, attracting attention.


At the event, over 200 attendees gathered, including Haenam natives from 10 cities?Seoul (President Kim Tae-ho), Incheon (President Jeong Cheon-su), Gwangju (President Kim Woo-yeol), Siheung (President Choi Young-soon), Mokpo (President Park Gil-hwan), Suwon (President Byeon Yong-do), Jeju (President An Haeng-taek), Ansan (Vice President Lee Young-gil), Seogwipo (President Gong Seok), and Anyang-Gunpo-Uiwang (President Kim Sa-nyeo)?as well as Myung Hyun-gwan, Haenam County Governor, National Assembly member Yoon Jae-gap, provincial and county council members, and heads of 14 eup and myeon offices.


Governor Myung Hyun-gwan said, “Thanks to the passionate hometown love of Haenam natives, the Hometown Love Donation Program is settling in smoothly,” and added, “I hope this passionate hometown donation spirit continues to be a lasting force for the development of our hometown.”
