Digital platform solution company Platier (CEO Sanghoon Lee) announced on the 2nd that it is pursuing ▲expansion of partnerships with global solution companies, ▲development of proprietary solutions, and ▲strengthening of DevOps consulting and education businesses to enhance its DevOps business capabilities. DevOps is regarded as a key element for successful digital transformation, and Platier's move is interpreted as an effort to focus on the digital transformation market.
DevOps, a compound word of ‘Development’ and ‘Operation,’ is a customer-centric software development and deployment method. It enables easy system development, maximizes operational efficiency, and reduces costs, helping companies accelerate agility and growth.
Platier provides a one-stop service covering consulting, design, configuration, and operation of DevOps platforms tailored to each company's environment, as well as solution provision and education. To this end, it has formed strategic partnerships with global software companies such as Atlassian, Perforce, CloudBees, Tricentis, HashiCorp, and IncrediBuild to supply advanced solutions.
In particular, the Israeli company IncrediBuild is gaining attention for its solution that significantly reduces software build times during the development of large-scale software, thereby alleviating developers' workload. The IncrediBuild solution accelerates software build speed by more than 90% by parallel processing through expanding idle CPUs on local networks or public clouds. It uses proprietary distributed container technology, requiring no additional hardware and can be used without changing source code.
Additionally, its build visualization technology identifies build errors, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks, reducing development time and costs. Due to these features, it has over 2,000 customers worldwide in fields such as gaming, finance, automotive, artificial intelligence, and system semiconductors.
Along with expanding overseas partnerships, Platier is developing DevOps plugin solutions, securing core technologies, and entering overseas app store markets.
In the first quarter, it launched third-party DevOps plugin solutions for Jira and Confluence on Atlassian Marketplace, the world’s number one DevOps and collaboration platform. Named ‘Scan It for Jira’ and ‘Scan It for Confluence,’ these plugin apps monitor in real-time whether sensitive corporate information is stored on Atlassian Jira and Confluence clouds and help prevent security issues in advance.
Additionally, it has released ‘Mail It for Jira,’ ‘Label It for Jira,’ and ‘Check It for Jira’ to support customers in using Atlassian solutions more conveniently. Furthermore, a plugin app called ‘Vault Connector for Jira,’ which integrates HashiCorp Vault solution with Jira through simple settings to issue and manage AWS credentials and streamline secret management processes, is scheduled for release in June.
Platier is expected to continue steady sales growth by securing additional overseas customers through continuous development of DevOps-related solutions.
Moreover, Platier helps corporate clients planning or undergoing digital transformation implement customized DevOps environments by providing optimal DevOps consulting through professional personnel.
To enhance competitiveness through differentiation, it is strengthening its education business by operating systematic formal education programs. Especially, education and international certification services using SAFe® (Scaled Agile Framework), implemented since the first half of this year, and training courses related to Perforce, Tricentis, and HashiCorp solutions are gaining popularity by providing in-depth insights.
Hansanghoon, head of Platier’s IDT business division, said, “Currently, requests for DevOps consulting are increasing from companies in IT, electrical and electronics, mobility, finance, and e-commerce sectors that wish to undergo digital transformation. It is becoming increasingly important to break down the boundaries between software development and operations and to strengthen collaboration and integration between development and operations by utilizing DevOps solutions.”
