Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Kim Hae-cheol) is investigating the case of Mr. A (in his 60s), who died in a traffic accident near the sandy beach in Wangsalli, Samhyang-eup, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do.

According to the maritime police on the 2nd, the accident victim Mr. A was riding an all-terrain vehicle near the embankment in Samhyang-eup, Muan-gun at around 8:44 PM on the 1st, when he fell about 3 meters down to the sandy beach. He was transported by the 119 ambulance to a large hospital in Mokpo, where he was pronounced dead.
The maritime police immediately dispatched personnel from the local police substation and the criminal division of the police station to the scene to conduct evidence collection and assess the situation. They are also conducting further investigations into the detailed circumstances of the accident by questioning the reporter and others involved.
