Yeongam Police Intensify Crackdown on Drunk Driving in Child Protection Zones

One Drunk Driving Case Detected... License Suspension Threshold

Yeongam Police Station in Jeollanam-do (Chief Kim Jong-deuk) announced on the 2nd that they conducted a drunk driving crackdown in the school zone of Sijong Elementary School on the 1st.

Yeongam Police carried out a focused crackdown on drunk driving to prevent the recurrence of fatal drunk driving accidents in school zones, which recently occurred in Daejeon.

The crackdown took place for four hours from 1 PM to 5 PM that day, resulting in one drunk driving case detected (at the license suspension level).

Chief Kim Jong-deuk stated, “We will do our best to eradicate drunk driving in school zones and establish an advanced traffic culture where residents can feel safe.”
