According to local media including Taiwan's Liberty Times on the 30th, at around 1:30 PM on the 24th, Mr. B (in his 30s) discovered Ms. A (31) collapsed in a hotel in Kaohsiung and reported it to the police.

It is reported that Mr. B found Ms. A collapsed in front of the bathroom and made the report.

Ms. A was transported to the hospital but died within 30 minutes. An autopsy revealed subcutaneous hemorrhaging on her head.

Local police are investigating Mr. B, the boyfriend, as the prime suspect without detention.

Mr. B reportedly strongly denies the charges, stating he thought Ms. A had fallen asleep intoxicated.

The Korean National Police Agency acknowledged the death of the Korean woman in Taiwan and stated they will cooperate if requested by local authorities.

A police official said, "We received notification that a Korean woman died in Taiwan," and added, "We plan to actively support any future cooperation requests."

Criminal penalties imposed by local authorities are considered mitigating factors domestically. Therefore, even if Mr. B is convicted and punished in Taiwan, an investigation may still proceed in Korea. It is reported that Mr. B is currently under a travel ban.
