YouTubers Park Hodoo and Maeoknam were accused of holding drug parties and engaging in high-priced prostitution, according to a revealing post. The author also uploaded related videos on YouTube.
On the 29th, according to Korea Economic Daily and others, a post titled "Exposing the drug group orgy of Park Hodoo and Maeoknam who do personal broadcasts. Please make this public" was uploaded on the online community FM Korea the previous night. The author claimed, "I worked as a staff member on Park Hodoo's fan cafe bulletin board since 2021," and "I was active under the nickname 'Popopci' in the cafe."
In the post, which has surpassed 900,000 views, he revealed that Park Hodoo introduced him to Maeoknam in January 2022. He then posted a photo of 'YTT Private Room,' located underground in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, saying, "This is the place Maeoknam took me to during his birthday party."
The author exposed, "Another room inside the private room is where they regularly gather to hold drug parties," adding, "It is designed so that the inside cannot be seen from outside. They regularly enjoyed drug parties here." He also pointed to a photo showing about twenty pink pills, saying, "Candy (Ecstasy) and marijuana K (Ketamine) found at Maeoknam's house."
The video the author uploaded on YouTube also contains an audio file of a phone call with a man presumed to be Maeoknam. In the call, the man’s voice says, "Generally speaking, it feels good. When you take candy..." He explains, "Serotonin, adrenaline, and dopamine are secreted in the body, making you feel good," and adds, "I was not the type to recover quickly from (drugs)."
The author also accused Park Hodoo of frequently engaging in prostitution. He wrote that over two years, Park Hodoo regularly called high-fee outcall massages (VVIP) to his home more than ten times a month, paying over 2 million won per session for prostitution. He also claimed to have spent 5 million won on some prostitution.
He revealed Park Hodoo’s earnings as well. In 2021 (January to November) alone, Park Hodoo reportedly earned about 16 billion won from referral income through Bybit (a cryptocurrency futures exchange). Referral marketing, known as the "referral system," refers to attracting people to a specific cryptocurrency exchange through YouTube broadcasts and other means.
The author is known to have been active under the nickname 'Gureumi' on YouTube and other platforms. He claimed to have had relationships not only with Park Hodoo and Maeoknam but also with another coin YouTuber, Park Kanghee.
Park Hodoo reportedly recognized the post during a YouTube live broadcast on the same day, briefly attempted to explain, and then suddenly stopped the broadcast. Some YouTube channels and Telegram chat rooms such as 'Coin Scammer Information Channel Kosajeong' continue to share revelations related to Park Hodoo, Maeoknam, and others.
In 2021, while conducting a live broadcast related to Bitcoin, Park Hodoo received a request from a viewer to stream a video insulting former President Roh for a donation of 1 million won, which he did. When controversy arose, he apologized, saying, "I will do everything I can, including a handwritten letter, to ask for forgiveness from those hurt, such as the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation."
