At around 7:38 a.m. that day, after a report was received that "black smoke is coming out" from a three-story multi-family house in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, the fire department dispatched 68 personnel and 22 vehicles and completely extinguished the fire by around 8:14 a.m.
As a result of this fire, a woman in her 80s died, and one firefighter was reported to have sustained minor injuries.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the cause of death of the fire victim, the extent of the damage, and the exact cause of the fire.
