Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency Participates in 'Annex Building Completion Ceremony'

Yoon Hee-geun, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, announced on the 28th that he visited the Police Security Unit and the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency to encourage the staff.

On the day, Commissioner Yoon visited the Police Security Unit to encourage the staff and gave a special lecture to the unit members. He told the security personnel, "Security is an activity directly related to the safety of the nation," and added, "I hope you carry a profound sense of mission to protect national security based on your own special pride." The Police Security Unit consists of the 101 Security Battalion, the 202 Security Battalion, and the 22 Police Security Unit.

Commissioner Yoon then participated in the completion ceremony of the annex building held at the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency. The construction of the annex was promoted considering the organizational expansion and increase in personnel since the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency, responsible for the northern Gyeonggi region, was established in March 2016.

Commissioner Yoon urged, "As the working environment of the investigation department has improved, I hope you take stronger measures to eradicate heinous crimes that destroy the daily lives of citizens, such as drug offenses and jeonse fraud."

Meanwhile, Commissioner Yoon promoted three officers from the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency?Sergeant Park Ik-beom, Corporal Lee Min-su, and Lieutenant Lee Kyung-tae?who have made outstanding achievements in eradicating violence at construction sites and investigating cybercrimes.
