On the 27th at 2:55 PM, EcoPro HN was trading at 70,000 KRW, up 5.42% compared to the previous day.
On this day, EcoPro BM announced that companies including EcoPro HN, Samsung SDI, Dongwha Electrolite, CIS, and Shemeca will participate in the Ministry of Industry-supported LFP battery development project.
EcoPro BM will collaborate on domestic LFP research and development (R&D) for four years together with participating companies and institutions. EcoPro BM plans to develop high-performance LFP cathode material mass production technology, while EcoPro HN will develop electrolyte additive technology used in LFP batteries and review the feasibility of mass production.
EcoPro BM is recognized for developing high-nickel cathode material products and leading the domestic and international high-capacity cathode material market. Its cathode material production capacity is 180,000 tons per year, ranking first domestically. At the end of last year, EcoPro BM announced plans to start construction of an LFP cathode material production line within this year, aiming for mass production by 2025.
