Jeongeup-si to Operate Public Delivery App 'Wemakeprice O' Starting Next Month

One of the key pledges of Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do, the Jeongeup-style public delivery app ‘WEMAKEPRICE O’, will be fully operational starting from the 1st of next month.

According to the city on the 27th, WEMAKEPRICE O is a project aimed at reducing the delivery app commission burden on local small business owners, providing a foundation for opening online sales channels, and offering discount benefits to app users, thereby establishing a basis for the management stability of small business owners and revitalization of the local economy.

The commission rate for franchise mediation on WEMAKEPRICE O is 2%, which is significantly lower than that of private delivery apps, greatly helping to ease the management burden on franchise stores.

In particular, when paying with Jeongeup Love Gift Certificates at franchise stores, no payment (PG) fees are incurred.

Benefits for app users are also noteworthy. When paying with Jeongeup Love Gift Certificates, users can receive a 10% discount benefit.

Separately, the city will hold a commemorative event throughout next month to celebrate the full-scale operation. First-time customers will receive a 5,000 KRW discount coupon, and second-time buyers will get a 4,000 KRW payback benefit. Additionally, delivery fees will be waived for orders placed on weekends.

Store owners who wish to register as franchisees can search for ‘WEMAKEPRICE O Partners’ online and apply for entry.

The city is putting effort into promotion through various media outlets, the city’s SNS, and its own flyers to secure more franchise stores and users and to ensure a smooth user experience.

In particular, by collaborating with the Jeonju Meteorological Office to display weather information within the app, franchise owners and users will be able to check real-time weather information, which is also expected to attract more entries and usage.

Mayor Lee Hak-su said, “WEMAKEPRICE O, the Jeongeup-style delivery app, will be a great support to the local economy by increasing the income of small business owners struggling with management and reducing the economic burden on consumers. I hope that through the expansion of good consumption with the interest and participation of many citizens, benefits will be shared not only by small business owners but also by all citizens.”
