Group Data Integration and Enhancement
Active Promotion of Data-Driven Decision Making
Kyobo Life Insurance is establishing a data system and infrastructure across its group companies. This strategy is interpreted as aiming to maximize synergy based on data and secure a foundation for digital transformation.
On the 27th, Kyobo Life Insurance announced that it signed a 'Business Agreement for the Establishment of a Data System and Infrastructure among the Six Kyobo Group Companies' together with five subsidiaries: Kyobo Securities, Kyobo Book Centre, Kyobo Lifeplanet, Kyobo Information & Communication, and Diflanix.
Accordingly, the scattered data within the Kyobo Group will be consolidated into one place. The purpose is to make decisions based on group data and maximize synergy among subsidiaries. Subsequently, by utilizing the enhanced data, each subsidiary plans to acquire new customers and increase data volume through retention of existing customers. The group intends to focus on becoming a 'culture and finance leading company delivering value beyond insurance,' the group's vision, through a group data integration strategy and execution that encompasses both financial and non-financial companies.
The task will be carried out primarily by the Kyobo Life Group Data Strategy Team, which oversees the establishment and execution of the group's integrated data strategy, along with major subsidiaries and the data analysis specialist company Diflanix.
Shin Jung-ha, head of the Kyobo Life Group Data Strategy Team, said, "We are expanding our business portfolio to secure future growth engines and are working on transitioning to a financial holding company that can enhance shareholder value." He added, "The establishment of the Kyobo Group data system and infrastructure will contribute to maximizing synergy among subsidiaries ahead of the holding company establishment."
