Jangheung-gun Supports Traveling Jeonnam Happiness Bus Together

Providing Customized Services to Residents by Visiting Seobu Market in Hoejin-myeon

Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Seong) recently announced on the 27th that the "Visiting Jeonnam Happiness Bus" visited Seobu Market in Hoejin-myeon to provide customized services to residents.

The Happiness Bus, which visited Namgu Village on Hoejin market day, offered basic health checkups such as blood pressure, diabetes tests, cognitive (dementia) tests, and body composition analysis, as well as civil complaints and legal consultation services.

Additionally, a wheelchair lift for the disabled was installed, allowing easy access to services for people with disabilities. Outdoor booths also provided services such as nail art, hand and foot massages, denture and eyeglass cleaning, and horticultural experience activities.

An elderly person who received the services said, "I have difficulty moving around and couldn't go far, but I was able to get consultation for my shoulder pain, receive a massage, and participate in a companion plant growing experience. I hope to meet again next time," expressing gratitude.

Governor Kim Seong said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Jeonnam Happiness Bus staff and Hoejin volunteers," adding, "We will do our best to provide welfare services that residents can feel and be satisfied with."

In May, the bus is scheduled to visit Bangchon Village in Gwansan to bring happiness to the elderly.

The Happiness Bus, operated by Jeollanam-do and entrusted to the Jeonnam Social Service Institute, has been running since 2021. Equipped with devices for simple health checkups, it visits remote and mountainous villages in Jeonnam with limited accessibility four times a week to provide health, welfare, and medical services.
