The First Korean Topping Baby Food Recipe Book to Complete in One Volume
On the Page, the humanities and general knowledge publishing brand of Cider Economy, announced on the 27th that it has published Korea's first topping baby food recipe book, One Meal in a Snap! Stress-Free Topping Baby Food.
One Meal in a Snap! Stress-Free Topping Baby Food was written by Yulma (Oh Ae-jin), a parenting influencer and the operator of Korea's only topping baby food Naver Cafe. The book clearly explains the topping baby food trend that started gaining popularity in 2021 and compiles everything from ingredient preparation to cooking in a single volume.
Topping baby food is baby food where toppings are placed on porridge, differing from traditional baby food porridge where various ingredients are mixed all at once. By giving multiple toppings separately, children can experience the original flavors of the ingredients, which also benefits their growth and development.
It allows children to practice chewing in advance, making the transition to toddler food easier, and mothers can add as much meat and vegetable portions as they desire. Mothers can flexibly adjust the topping cubes themselves and easily respond to allergies.
This book provides essential information to know before and after starting topping baby food, recipes by stage, and detailed, friendly introductions to various plus menus and side dishes using the cubes. Starting from ingredients, preparation, tools, and precautions, it also includes the author's unique topping baby food know-how such as pesticide residue washing methods and types and management of oils, which are hard to find in other baby food books.
Author Yulma said, “Topping baby food, which can be prepared and made simply while providing sufficient nutrition to the child, is the most efficient baby food.” She added, “From a mother's perspective, it allows more time to spend with the child and enough rest time, so I hope readers experience a stress-free and happy baby food world with just one book.”
After two childbirths and two parental leaves, author Yulma concluded her 13-year career as an office worker and currently runs the ‘Hayul's House’ blog and the ‘Stress-Free Topping Baby Food’ cafe. Her representative work includes I Decided to Earn More Instead of Saving, which contains know-how on creating a profitable blog for multi-job working moms.
