EDGC (Eone Diagnomics Genome Center), a precision medicine company specializing in genome analysis, unveiled the AI-based decentralized genome social network service ‘Yougenity’ and the generative AI chatbot ‘GeniBot’ at the ‘2023 World IT Show’.
The World IT Show, which began in 2008 and is now in its 15th edition, is an exhibition and experience fair for information and communication technology (ICT) technologies and services. This year, under the theme ‘K-Digital Changing the Daily Life of the World,’ 465 companies from Korea and abroad participated, and the event was held from the 19th to the 21st. Yougenity attracted significant attention as a company selected to present new ICT trend products and technologies at this event.
Yougenity is the world’s first AI-based decentralized genome social network service (DGSNS) based on genetic information. Utilizing decentralized applications and sequencing data, Yougenity provides various services based on users’ genetic information related to wellbeing, health, lineage, and ancestry. Through AI algorithm analysis, it offers personalized content based on users’ genetic traits and activity information within Yougenity, and also suggests networks with other users.
EDGC showcased core Yougenity content including the genetic analysis service YouWho, genome identity codes, social networks, and digital IDs. Personalized services based on genetic information and DNA art pieces called ‘Geni-art,’ created from users’ unique genetic data, also attracted visitors’ interest.
EDGC directly implemented the gene chatbot GeniBot, powered by generative AI GPT, within Yougenity. GeniBot was developed using OpenAI’s ChatGPT. It is the world’s first customized AI chatbot specially trained based on gene-related information. Through GeniBot, users can receive genetic counseling and various personalized health-related information as an interactive service in real time on social media platforms.
