On the 26th, the Agricultural Policy Insurance and Finance Service signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Exchange at the Korea Food Industry Cluster Promotion Agency to promote the listing of outstanding agri-food companies. The Agricultural Policy Insurance and Finance Service and the Exchange plan to jointly implement various programs to support the listing of agri-food companies, including briefings, education, consulting, and investment attraction linkage support.
They plan to expand the registration of outstanding agri-food companies on the KSM (KRX Startup Market) operated by the Exchange to activate trading of unlisted stocks, and support the strengthening of agri-food companies' capabilities through mentoring and investor relations (IR) briefings.
Both organizations also agreed to strengthen cooperation to establish an information-sharing system on the latest trends in the financial market and new growth areas of the agri-food industry such as green bio and food tech.
Min Yeontae, President of the Agricultural Policy Insurance and Finance Service, explained, “Through cooperation with the Exchange, we will strive to further expand capital market financing for outstanding unlisted agri-food companies and create a foundation for innovative and stable growth of the agri-food industry.”
Hong Sunwook, Vice President of the Exchange (Head of the KOSDAQ Market Division), said, “With the signing of this MOU, close mutual cooperation between the two organizations is possible, and we expect an increase in agri-food companies successfully listed on the securities market in the future.”
