Samsung Electronics Launches 'Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner Window Fit'... First Window-Type Wind-Free Cooling

No Direct Wind Breeze in Wind-Free Mode... Saves Up to 74% Power Compared to Maximum Cooling Mode
Stand, Wall-Mounted, Ceiling Types Followed by Window Type... Wind-Free Air Conditioner Lineup Completed

A window-type air conditioner that can operate coolly without direct wind is being released.

On the 26th, Samsung Electronics announced that it will launch the 2023 window-type air conditioner 'Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner Window Fit' the next day.

The Wind-Free mode cools the room without generating strong wind directly on the human body. Samsung Electronics has completed its entire lineup of stand-type, wall-mounted, ceiling-type, and window-type air conditioners with Wind-Free air conditioners.

The Window Fit is made as an integrated indoor and outdoor unit. It can be installed anywhere there is a window. It is perfect for consumers who want to install separate air conditioners in each room.

The Window Fit applies about 21,000 Wind-Free holes on the front of the product. This is the secret to blowing cool air without direct wind. Using Wind-Free mode can reduce power consumption by up to 74% compared to the maximum cooling mode.

Cooling performance has improved. A 'Big Blade' was installed in the center of the product to widen the rotation angle from 35 degrees to 50 degrees. This means that strong wind is sent farther, wider, and more evenly. A cooling fan about 17% larger than before was applied. The cooling capacity was expanded by 3.3㎡.

Noise has also been reduced to help with sound sleep. The noise level of the new Window Fit's low noise mode is about 32dB (decibels). It is equipped with a digital inverter compressor that applies a 'Twin Tube Muffler' using two pipes to reduce refrigerant friction noise and a 'Twin Inverter' that rotates two cylinders to reduce vibration and noise.

Eco-friendly features were also added. It uses eco-friendly refrigerant R32, which has about 33% of the global warming potential compared to the existing R410A refrigerant. It has obtained the highest energy efficiency grade 1.

Additionally, by using Samsung Electronics' smart home platform SmartThings Energy Service 'AI Saving Mode,' power consumption can be reduced by up to 20% more. This helps reduce electricity bills during the summer.

The product management 'Easy Care' function has been upgraded to five stages including 'Auto Dry' and 'AI Diagnosis.'

It reduces the hassle of emptying the water collected in the water tank through a large-capacity dehumidification function of up to 34.3ℓ per day and a natural evaporation system that does not require pipe installation.

The new Window Fit applies a window-integrated installation frame, occupying less space. It is released in four colors that create a comfortable interior: Natural White, Canvas Gray, Sage Green, and Champagne Beige. The panel is also replaceable. The retail price is 1,090,000 KRW.

Lee Jun-hwa, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Business Division, said, "We applied Samsung's unique Wind-Free cooling function, which has received consumer approval, to the window-type air conditioner as well," adding, "By applying differentiated technologies such as cooling performance, energy saving, low noise, and dehumidification, we will be able to make every room comfortable even in the summer."

Samsung Electronics is conducting the 'Wind-Free Energy Festa' at Samsung Stores nationwide from the 1st of this month to the 31st of next month. If you purchase the 2023 Wind-Free air conditioner new product with Wind-Free cooling function, the device will be installed free of charge.
