Average Purchase Price Significantly Increases

Price comparison service Danawa announced on the 26th that robot vacuum cleaners are gaining great popularity among consumers.

According to Danawa, the transaction amount for robot vacuum cleaners in the first quarter increased by 23.7% compared to the previous year, and rose by 74% compared to 2021.

The station of robot vacuum cleaners was previously used only as a device for charging, but recently, automation features for user convenience, such as automatically emptying dust or washing mops, have been incorporated.

High-end robot vacuum cleaners are leading the market, causing the average purchase price to rise significantly. The average purchase price of robot vacuum cleaners in the first quarter was 645,000 KRW, an increase of 129,000 KRW compared to last year and 208,000 KRW compared to 2021.

A Danawa representative said, “Recently released premium robot vacuum cleaners have enhanced automation features, significantly reducing maintenance elements compared to existing products,” and added, “As more consumers want to gain definite convenience even if it costs more, demand is concentrating on premium products.”
