The Gimhae Western Police Station in Gyeongnam conducted a joint training exercise with related agencies on tunnel vehicle fire response at the Bulmosan Tunnel in Daechung-dong, Gimhae, for one hour starting from 10 a.m. on the 24th.
According to the Gimhae Western Police Station, 37 participants including personnel from the Gimhae Western Fire Station and Gyeongnam Highway employees took part in the training held on the road connecting Jangyu, Gimhae to Changwon.

The training, aimed at rapid response to various emergencies such as vehicle fires and major traffic accidents, involved simulating an actual fire inside the tunnel, providing first aid to the injured, and controlling vehicle traffic for about 10 minutes.
A police official stated, “The Bulmosan Tunnel experiences increasing vehicle traffic every year. Through this training for major accident preparedness inside the tunnel, we aim to establish and review the division of duties among agencies and mutual cooperation systems, enhancing quick and accurate judgment and response capabilities to protect citizens’ lives in real situations.”
