Gyeongnam Goseong-gun Hosts Children's Day Event Opening Happiness for Kids

With Our Dreams, Toward a Wider World

Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will hold a Children's Day event on May 5th at Goseong-gun Sports Park Field 4 under the theme "Embracing Our Dreams for a Wider World" to celebrate the 101st Children's Day.

This event is hosted and organized by the Goseong Saranghoe and sponsored by Goseong-gun. It is preparing a colorful and rich program focused on children's perspectives, including celebratory performances, experiential play, and more than 50 experience booths.

As a pre-event, there will be a performance by the Two-Wheel Choir, which promotes harmony between people with and without disabilities, with comedian Oh Jeong-tae, known from "Wootchatsa" and "Gagya," serving as the MC.

The celebratory performances include shows by Goseong dance clubs Dazzle, Iris, and Flow; performances by Raon Hapkido, Jump Wings, and Yongho Taekwondo children; magic shows; bubble shows; traditional Korean music & trot prodigy performances; and aerobics, totaling 10 performances.

Additionally, there will be 31 experience booths designed to captivate children's interests, such as photo booths, special makeup, sock yarn coasters, and grip tok making. Ten food booths will offer treats like cotton candy, slushies, tteokbokki, Korean pork tasting, popcorn, and eagle bread tasting. The festival will also feature seven large air bounces for children to enjoy and water gun play with a DJ to stimulate their excitement, making it a festival full of sights and fun activities.

County Governor Lee Sang-geun stated, "We plan to conduct thorough safety inspections to ensure that children, who are our future and hope, can enjoy the event happily with their beloved families and friends," adding, "We hope many residents will comfortably enjoy the event."

Ryu Sang-cheol, president of Goseong Saranghoe, said, "With about 20 years of experience organizing Children's Day events, we have prepared this event to be colorful and full of attractions so that children can run and play freely," and added, "We hope many children visit and have a happy time."

Goseong Saranghoe was founded in December 1996 for community service purposes and currently has about 120 members. The organization actively participates in improving local residential environments, kimchi sharing events, and various volunteer activities.
