Seocho-gu Opens ‘Spring Night Classical Festival’ with High-Class Performances by Top Artists at Bangbae Dwitbeol Park on the 22nd at 7 PM

Seocho-gu (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) held the ‘Spring Night Classical Festival’ on the 22nd around Dwitbeol Park near Bangbae Cafe Alley.
This festival was the first mask-free event in four years since COVID-19, presenting the romance of a spring night through classical performances to about 2,000 spectators.
Top-tier artists performed on this day, showcasing the essence of classical music and musicals, creating a beautiful spring night. The male quartet ‘La Poem,’ winners of JTBC’s ‘Phantom Singer 3,’ performed, followed by musical actors Park Hye-na, Lee Geon-myeong, and Lee Sang-eun, who took the stage one after another. They performed musical gala pieces such as ‘The Four Seasons (Spring),’ ‘Phantom of the Opera,’ and ‘Falling Slowly’ in collaboration with the Liberte Chamber Orchestra.

This festival was organized to expand the base of classical culture and revitalize the commercial district of Bangbae Cafe Alley, a popular spot for young people in the 1980s and 1990s.
Continuing until the 23rd, the festival under the theme ‘Party Park’ offers a variety of attractions and activities including concerts, busking, events, and a food zone.

Kim Tae-woo, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, attended the ‘Gaehwasan Spring Flower Festival’ held at Banghwa Neighborhood Park on the 22nd, communicating and enjoying the festival with residents.
Arriving at the festival site at 6 PM, Mayor Kim toured the venue and mingled with residents, taking photos together.
At 6:30 PM, with Mayor Kim’s lighting chant, colorful lights installed throughout the park were simultaneously turned on, illuminating the festival grounds.
Mayor Kim stayed on-site throughout the event to ensure residents could safely enjoy the festival at night, continuously overseeing the overall festival operations.
Like a hands-on manager, he carefully checked every corner of the festival site, paying close attention to crowd density and minor inconveniences to ensure residents’ safety.
In particular, the district deployed safety personnel and police officers around the festival area and crowded spots to ensure a safe festival.
Held under the theme ‘New Gangseo, Into the New Spring and New Light,’ this year’s Gaehwasan Spring Flower Festival featured an unprecedented program lineup.
Along with the light festival that beautifully illuminated the entire park, various attractions such as magic shows involving children, busking, flea markets, and food stalls were prepared to bring joy to visitors.
The Gaehwasan Spring Flower Festival attracted thousands of local residents and was held successfully. The beautiful light festival will continue until May 7.
Mayor Kim Tae-woo said, “Unlike previous festivals that ended after daytime activities, we prepared diverse programs including the light festival so families, couples, and friends can create memories at night as well. We will do our best to create various cultural spaces so residents can always relax and enjoy their time.”
Gangnam-gu Holds Science Day Event... Let’s Have Fun with Robots!
Gangnam-gu (Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) held a ‘Science Festival’ on the 22nd at the Gangnam Future Education Center for 150 students in celebration of Science Day.
On this day, students enjoyed various futuristic technology experiences including ▲space experiences such as Mars terraforming ▲exhibits and hands-on activities with quadruped robots, autonomous driving, drones, and space VR/AR ▲making solar-powered lunar rover kits for space exploration.
