Councilor Noh stated, "To address child protection, Nam-gu is responsible for child abuse-related tasks through the Child and Youth Division and the Child Protection Team," adding, "There are four social welfare officials working as child abuse dedicated officers, and three part-time officials working as child protection dedicated personnel."

She continued, "Nam-gu can assign up to five dedicated personnel with personnel expenses supported by national and city funds, but recently two resigned due to job changes, and one more resignation is scheduled at the end of April," asserting, "This high turnover rate is due to poor treatment compared to experience and job insecurity caused by short contract periods."

Accordingly, she proposed, "To ensure the smooth operation of the Child Protection Team for the future generation of Nam-gu, child protection dedicated personnel should be employed as indefinite-term contract workers, and additional staff should be recruited so that child protection personnel, who are currently also handling accounting tasks, can focus on 'child care' and provide high-quality child welfare services."

Councilor Noh said, "I hope the executive branch will create conditions so that the role of child protection, ensuring that not a single child in Nam-gu is left behind, can be carried out thoroughly and systematically."
